Montpellier Velvet Peacock
Carnival VelvetPF50417.792
Montpellier Velvet Peacock is a dense, plain velvet in a deep peacock teal. The short pile creates subtle tonal shifts across the surface as the light follows its direction.

About this fabric
The saturated blue-green shade has a cool, jewel-like depth, while the close velvet pile appears softly brushed rather than patterned. Made from 100% polyester, this 140 cm (55") fabric is specified for curtains, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Its 100,000 Martindale rub test makes it suitable for hard-wearing fixed upholstery as well as decorative applications. Care instructions specify a cool minimum wash, professional dry cleaning, no tumble drying or bleach, and cool ironing.
How to use it
Use this deep peacock teal on a statement chair, sofa or headboard where its directional nap can catch the light, then repeat the colour through curtains or bedspreads for a layered scheme. Its cool, saturated tone pairs particularly well with warm timber, aged brass and soft neutral upholstery.
A saturated peacock teal velvet with a soft directional nap, suited to statement upholstery and coordinated curtains.

Pairs well with
Montpellier Velvet Peacock is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
