Elbury Red combines a muted brick-red ground with an ivory scrolling damask, arranged in a crisp, symmetrical repeat. The softly mottled woven surface gives the pattern a gently softened, tactile finish rather than a flat printed appearance.

About this fabric

The ornate scrollwork forms repeating, mirrored motifs in warm red and chalky ivory, with small geometric joins creating a clear all-over structure. At 137.45 cm wide, the fabric has a 16.04 cm vertical repeat and a 34.36 cm horizontal repeat, making pattern placement an important part of cutting. Its 68% polyester and 32% cotton composition, together with a 50,000 Martindale rub test, supports fixed upholstery as well as curtains and bedspreads. Elbury Red must not be washed, bleached or ironed and requires professional dry cleaning.

How to use it

Pair this warm, dusty red with natural woods, aged brass and creamy neutrals for a collected traditional scheme. On a chair or upholstered headboard, the ivory scrollwork adds definition without the sharper contrast of a bright scarlet fabric.
