Elbury Blue pairs a cool, weathered blue ground with a pale ivory scrolling motif in a closely repeated damask arrangement. Its softly mottled surface gives the colourway a gently aged, textile-rich character.

About this fabric

The pattern is formed from symmetrical ivory scrolls, leaf curls and small floral details, with blue showing through between the ornate elements. At 137.45 cm (54 inches) wide, the fabric has a 16.04 cm vertical repeat and a 34.36 cm horizontal repeat, creating a measured rhythm across the cloth. It is made from 68% polyester and 32% cotton and is suitable for curtains, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, with a 50,000 Martindale rub test. Care is professional dry cleaning only: do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use the cool blue and ivory palette to bring definition to a pale sitting room, pairing it with chalky walls, painted timber and understated blue upholstery. The formal scrolling repeat also works well on a headboard or bedspread where the pattern can be viewed closely.
