Radnor Aqua

Essential Colour III - Colour FabricBF11214.1

Radnor Aqua has a pale, muted aqua ground crossed by fine beige and blue-grey threads, creating a delicate woven grid rather than a bold printed motif. The close-up reveals subtle vertical and horizontal variation that gives the cool colourway gentle depth.

About this fabric

This GP & J Baker fabric is woven from 44% viscose, 28% cotton, 14% linen and 14% polyester, with a 139 cm (54.61") width. Its softly striated aqua surface is tempered by warm flax and sand-coloured yarns, so the overall tone reads calm and lightly weathered rather than bright or saturated. The small-scale woven pattern has a 23 cm (9.04") vertical repeat and a 35 cm (13.75") horizontal repeat. With a 29,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use Radnor Aqua to cool a neutral room without making it stark: it works especially well on a relaxed armchair, loose cover or full-length curtain alongside pale timber, oatmeal linen and warm beige upholstery. The beige threads in the weave help it sit comfortably with natural, sandy tones.

A softly woven aqua with a fine crosshatch texture, suitable for relaxed upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
