Tavistock Soft Red/Green
Essential Colour III - Colour FabricBF11215.1
Tavistock Soft Red/Green has a quietly variegated surface of muted coral-red, sage green and warm beige. Its close, fine stippling gives the colourway a softly weathered depth rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric
The design is formed from tightly packed, irregular flecks that create a subtle small-scale texture across the cloth, with coral-red passages warming the restrained sage and beige ground. Made from 38% cotton, 38% viscose and 24% polyester, it has a balanced textile character suited to both decorative and practical applications. At 139 cm wide, with a 27 cm vertical repeat and 17.5 cm horizontal repeat, the pattern can be planned across curtains, bedspreads and upholstered pieces. A Martindale rub test of 31,000 supports its use for both loose and fixed upholstery.
How to use it
Use the muted coral as a gentle accent against warm neutrals, aged timber or sage-painted joinery, allowing the fine mottling to add depth without dominating the room. It can move easily from softly gathered curtains to a coordinating occasional chair, headboard or loose cover.
A softly mottled coral, sage and beige colourway with enough durability for upholstery and enough versatility for curtains and bedspreads.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Tavistock Soft Red/Green without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
