Portman Aqua presents a fine, closely spaced chevron in a softly muted aqua, with pale stone and grey threads tempering the blue-green ground. The small-scale zigzag has a quietly graphic character and a lightly textured woven surface.

About this fabric

Woven from 38% recycled cotton, 32% recycled viscose, 16% linen and 14% polyester, Portman Aqua has a balanced composition suited to practical interior use. Its 135 cm width and 10 cm vertical by 5 cm horizontal pattern repeat make the neat chevron straightforward to position across curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. In the swatch, the cool aqua is softened by fine pale threads, creating a gently variegated effect rather than a flat, saturated colour. The fabric is rated at 28,000 Martindale rubs; it must be professionally dry cleaned and should not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use Portman Aqua to bring a cool, softened note to a window seat, occasional chair or full-length curtain, pairing it with warm ivory, pale timber and quiet grey. Its small chevron can also provide subtle movement on a bedspread without overwhelming a calm scheme.
