Barclay Blue

Essential Colour III - Colour FabricBF11201.1

Barclay Blue reads as a cool, softened blue-grey across the swatch, with a dense miniature geometric weave that gives the surface a subtly peppered appearance. Its restrained pattern scale keeps the colour at the forefront.

About this fabric

The closely woven surface combines blue-grey, charcoal and lighter threads into a small, even geometric motif, creating gentle depth rather than a bold contrast. The pattern repeats every 3 cm vertically and horizontally, so it remains discreet on the 137 cm-wide cloth. Made from 48% viscose, 32% cotton, 12% linen and 8% polyester, Barclay Blue is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Its 28,000 Martindale rub test supports use on seating, while professional dry cleaning is required.

How to use it

Use this cool blue-grey on a tailored armchair, dining seat or relaxed bedspread where its tiny woven pattern can add texture without dominating the room. Pair it with chalky whites, pale timber and brushed metal for a crisp, quietly contemporary scheme.

A cool blue-grey micro-pattern with the versatility for tailored upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
