Chelsea Check Indigo
Essential Colour III - Colour FabricBF11202.1
Chelsea Check Indigo shows a pale cream ground crossed by fine, cool indigo lines in a precise windowpane check. The restrained contrast gives the colourway a fresh, tailored look rather than a dense or heavily patterned effect.

About this fabric
The small check has 9 cm vertical and horizontal repeats, creating an even linear rhythm across the cloth. Its 140 cm width and 46% viscose, 26% cotton, 21% linen and 7% polyester composition make it suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Visually, the soft cream base lightens the design while the indigo grid adds cool definition and depth. A 30,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on upholstery as well as softer furnishing applications.
How to use it
Use the cream ground to brighten a window seat, occasional chair or upholstered headboard, then echo the cool indigo lines with plain blue cushions or painted joinery. Its fine, orderly scale also works well as full-length curtains where a tailored check is preferred over a bold pattern.
A crisp cream-and-indigo check that brings tailored structure to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Chelsea Check Indigo without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
