Quartz presents a dark, cool charcoal-olive ground crowded with painterly flowers in faded blush, parchment, rust and moss. The velvet surface softens the intricate pattern with a tactile, softly light-catching pile.

About this fabric

This colourway has a deep, atmospheric base, overlaid with large faded blooms and smaller scattered flowers in dusty pink, muted cream, terracotta, burgundy and olive green. The dense floral field is printed or woven with an antique-looking tonal depth, while the velvet texture gives the darker ground a gentle variation as it catches the light. With a 64 cm vertical repeat and 69 cm horizontal repeat, the design has a substantial scale for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Made from 55% viscose and 45% cotton, it is 137 cm wide and achieves a 50,000 Martindale rub test; care requires professional dry cleaning, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use Quartz on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered bed where its charcoal-olive depth can anchor the room. Balance the faded blush and terracotta flowers with warm neutral walls, aged wood and muted brass, or use it for full-length curtains to create a darker, richly layered scheme.
