Thurloe Plain Aqua is a pale, cool aqua textile with a softly irregular woven surface. Its blue-green tone is lightened by fine pale threads, giving the plain cloth gentle depth rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

The close-up reveals a fine vertical-and-horizontal weave, with subtle tonal variation running through the aqua ground and a lightly tactile, linen-like grain. Composed of 48% viscose, 25% cotton, 21% linen and 6% polyester, it combines a soft, natural-looking surface with a 30,000 Martindale rub test. At 140 cm wide, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. After care is professional dry cleaning only: do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use this cool, pale aqua on a relaxed armchair, headboard or loose cover where its fine woven texture can be seen up close. It also makes softly coloured curtains or a bedspread, especially alongside chalky whites, pale timber and muted blue-greens.
