About this fabric

The fabric has a finely textured face, with irregular horizontal slubs and a restrained crosshatched effect visible through the weave. Its saturated indigo tone shifts between blue and blue-black, giving the surface considerable depth rather than a flat colour. Supplied as a fabric with no performance features noted, this finely woven-looking cloth is best suited to decorative drapery where its subtle variation can be seen across folds.

How to use it

Use 203 Indigo for full-length curtains in a room with warm timber, aged brass or soft ivory upholstery, allowing its cool blue-black depth to anchor the scheme. It also works particularly well in low-lit interiors where the finer blue striations can emerge gently from the dark ground.

Use this deep indigo tone for elegant curtains, layered window treatments or a richly atmospheric scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
