About this fabric

This Wemyss fabric reads as a muted aqua rather than a bright turquoise, with a calm blue cast that shifts gently across the surface. Its close weave is enlivened by fine horizontal and vertical slubs, creating a restrained crosshatch effect without a distinct printed motif. The even, mid-weight-looking cloth appears versatile enough for upholstery and drapery based on the visible weave and handle suggested by the swatch. No composition, width, rub test or performance rating has been supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use this cool aqua-blue on a reading chair, headboard or relaxed curtain where its greyed tone can soften stronger colours. It pairs naturally with chalky whites, pale timber, warm neutrals and brushed metal.

The cool aqua-blue ground and softly irregular woven texture bring understated colour and depth to upholstery, curtains or cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
