About this fabric

08 Chinchilla reads as a cool, pale taupe-grey, with flecks of stone, charcoal and warm beige visible through the weave. The close, irregular crosshatch gives the surface a lightly nubby, textile-rich texture rather than a flat solid appearance. Fine tonal shifts break up the ground without forming a discernible motif, so the colour stays calm at a distance and more detailed close up. No composition, width, usage or rub-test information has been supplied for this colourway, and no performance features are noted.

How to use it

Use this softened taupe-grey on seating, cushions or window treatments where its restrained contrast can sit comfortably with warm woods, limestone tones and layered grey-beige textiles.

Use the softly mottled taupe-grey as a calm foundation with natural timber, chalky walls and layered neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
