Oriental Bird Signature Mole

Signature Prints FabricBP10771.2

Oriental Bird Signature Mole combines a soft mole-grey ground with delicate flowering branches, scattered birds and layered chinoiserie detail. Its low-contrast palette of blush pink, ivory, muted coral and sage gives the pattern a calm, timeworn character.

About this fabric

The design is filled with small perched birds, winding dark branches and clusters of pale flowers, including pink and ivory blooms that gently punctuate the muted taupe-grey background. Made from 85% viscose and 15% linen, the fabric has a softly woven textile appearance that keeps the detailed print feeling refined rather than stark. It is 137 cm wide, with a 79 cm vertical repeat and 46 cm horizontal repeat for planning pattern placement. A 25,000 Martindale rub test supports its use for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use the mole-grey ground as a soft alternative to charcoal in a sitting room, pairing it with warm ivory, dusty rose and aged timber. It works particularly well on a statement chair or relaxed curtains where the pink and cream flowers can be seen across the repeat.

A quietly decorative chinoiserie floral for curtains, upholstered pieces and coordinated bedspreads.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Oriental Bird Signature Mole without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
