Elysten Charcoal

Essential Colour III - Neutral FabricBF11208.985

Elysten Charcoal appears as a pale, warm greige rather than a dense charcoal, with a fine woven surface that gives the swatch gentle tonal variation. Its close texture reads quietly refined and softly tactile in the light.

About this fabric

The small-scale weave is made up of closely set, subtly irregular threads, creating a lightly nubby surface without a printed motif. The warm grey-beige tone has a softened, chalky depth that keeps the colour calm and versatile while remaining more distinctive than a flat neutral. Elysten Charcoal is 139 cm wide and is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Its composition is 45% cotton, 20% polycotton, 16% viscose, 8% wool, 7% linen and 4% polyester; it must be professionally dry cleaned and should not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use this pale greige in relaxed tailored upholstery where its fine texture can be seen up close, or carry it through to curtains and a bedspread for a softly coordinated neutral scheme. Its warm grey cast works particularly well with natural timber, oatmeal upholstery and deeper charcoal accents.

A finely textured pale greige weave that brings quiet depth to tailored upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
