About this fabric

This velvet shows a symmetrical arrangement of stylised flowers, curling foliage and small berry-like motifs, with the design picked out in softly contrasting shades rather than bright colour. Woven from 56% cotton and 44% linen, it is 132 cm (51.86") wide, with a 59 cm (23.18") vertical repeat and a 33 cm (12.96") horizontal repeat. The mole colouring gives the ornate pattern a subdued, softly aged character while retaining the visual depth of the velvet texture. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Pair this deep brown-grey mole colourway with warm stone, mushroom and aged wood for a quiet, heritage-inspired scheme. On upholstery or a bedspread, its muted botanical contrast adds richness without introducing a strong accent colour.

Use this deep mole damask to add layered pattern and a softly aged velvet richness to upholstery, curtains or a bedspread.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
