Tilney Parchment

Essential Colour III - Neutral FabricBF11218.225

Tilney Parchment is a quiet, warm parchment-beige plain weave. Fine horizontal slubbing and tiny tonal shifts keep the surface from looking flat, while the light catches it softly rather than producing a sheen.

About this fabric

The colour sits between soft beige and natural parchment, with a gentle warmth that gives the cloth more depth than a stark cream. Its close woven surface has a subtly irregular, linen-like grain visible across the swatch, without a pronounced pattern or shine. Made from 48% viscose, 28% linen and 24% polyester, Tilney Parchment is 137 cm wide and has a 32,000 Martindale rub test. The supplied usage includes curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use this warm parchment neutral to soften a room with painted timber, pale oak or chalky stone, particularly on a generous sofa or relaxed curtain. Its understated woven texture also works well on a bedspread where a plain fabric needs subtle surface interest.

A warm, softly textured neutral for relaxed upholstery, curtains and layered bedroom schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
