About this fabric

This colourway reads as a gentle parchment beige: warmer than a cool stone neutral, but restrained rather than strongly golden. Its plain surface is enlivened by fine vertical nap variation, creating subtle darker and lighter trails across the swatch without a printed motif. Made from 92% cotton and 8% polyester, it is 140 cm (55") wide and suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. With a 50,000 Martindale rub test, it is practical for hard-wearing upholstery, while professional dry cleaning is required; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use this warm parchment shade to soften a tailored sofa, headboard or occasional chair, especially alongside ivory, walnut and muted terracotta. Its plain velvet surface can also bring gentle depth to full-length curtains or a coordinated bedspread.

A warm parchment velvet with a softly directional nap, suited to elegant upholstery and coordinating curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
