About this fabric
The colour is a rich espresso brown, dark enough to read almost charcoal in the deepest areas while retaining a warm chocolate undertone. Light travels softly across the velvet pile, creating subtle vertical shifts and a gently brushed, tactile finish rather than a sharp lustre. Made from 92% cotton and 8% polyester, the fabric is 140 cm (55") wide and suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 50,000 Martindale rub test makes it a practical choice for upholstered furniture, while care is limited to professional dry cleaning.
How to use it
Use this warm, deep brown on a statement armchair, sofa or headboard where its velvet nap can show changing tones. It also brings weight and softness to full-length curtains or a tailored bedspread, especially alongside cream, aged brass and lighter natural timber.
A deep espresso velvet with a soft nap and understated sheen, suited to upholstered seating, curtains and bedspreads.

Pairs well with
Tetbury Velvet Espresso is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
