Tetbury Velvet Plaster is a softly shaded plain velvet in a warm plaster-terracotta colour. Its gently brushed surface gives the otherwise quiet cloth subtle tonal movement as the light shifts across the nap.

About this fabric

Made from 92% cotton and 8% polyester, this 140 cm (55") velvet has a fine, even surface with a restrained directional variation visible across the swatch. The plaster-terracotta tone sits between muted clay and dusty coral, bringing warmth without the stronger saturation of a bright orange or red. With a 50,000 Martindale rub test, it is suited to fixed upholstery, loose upholstery, curtains and bedspreads. It must not be washed, bleached or ironed, and requires professional dry cleaning.

How to use it

Use this warm plaster shade to upholster a reading chair, sofa or headboard where its softened terracotta depth can anchor cream, natural timber and aged brass. It can also bring a rosy warmth to curtains or a tailored bedspread without introducing a pattern.
