Rio Sienna brings together rust, sienna, charcoal, cream and muted blue-green in a densely patterned patchwork of geometric panels. Its softly light-catching velvet surface gives the warm terracotta ground considerable depth.

About this fabric

This 45% cotton, 55% viscose velvet combines angular motifs, scrolling borders and small ornamental details in a richly layered, tapestry-like arrangement. The colourway is led by warm sienna and burnt rust, balanced by deep charcoal, aged cream and subdued blue-green accents rather than bright, clear hues. At 136 cm wide, it has a 92 cm vertical pattern repeat and a 68 cm horizontal repeat, making the changing panel composition an important part of its appearance. A 50,000 Martindale rub test supports its use for fixed and loose upholstery as well as curtains and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use Rio Sienna on a statement chair, sofa or upholstered bed where its rust and charcoal depth can anchor the room, then repeat the muted cream and blue-green accents in cushions or trim. Its 92 cm vertical repeat can also create a richly decorative curtain with a strong, collected feel.

Use this richly patterned velvet to bring warm, collected character to upholstery, curtains or a bedspread.
