Essential Colour III - Neutral FabricBF11177.130
Astell Sand has a warm, softly lit beige tone with a fine, understated woven texture. Its even surface reads as a gentle sandy neutral rather than a stark cream or cool stone.

About this fabric
This 140 cm (55") wide fabric combines 47% viscose, 33% cotton and 20% linen, giving the plain sand colour a subtle textural variation visible across the weave. The quiet 2 cm vertical and 2.5 cm horizontal pattern repeats are barely perceptible in this close, tonal construction, keeping the overall effect calm and uncluttered. With a 45,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Professional dry cleaning is required; do not wash, bleach or iron.
How to use it
Use Astell Sand to bring a warm, sunlit neutrality to a sofa, headboard or relaxed curtain scheme. It pairs particularly well with natural timber, woven textures and deeper camel or tobacco accents that bring out its sandy warmth.
A softly textured sandy neutral for relaxed upholstery, curtains and layered bedroom schemes.

Pairs well with
Astell Sand is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
