Balfour Chevron Oatmeal

Essential Colour III - Neutral FabricBF11192.230

Balfour Chevron Oatmeal has a softly warm beige ground with a very fine, low-contrast chevron texture. The close-woven surface gives the colour a gently flecked, tactile depth rather than a flat plain appearance.

About this fabric

Woven from 41% wool, 24% cotton, 21% viscose, 9% linen and 5% polyester, this 137 cm-wide fabric combines an oatmeal tone with delicate directional texture. Its 1 cm vertical and 7 cm horizontal repeats create a restrained chevron that is visible on close inspection without dominating the warm neutral colourway. With a 35,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Care is professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use the warm oatmeal beige on a tailored armchair or sofa where its subtle chevron adds interest without competing with stronger patterns. It also works as a calm curtain or bedspread fabric, especially alongside cream, timber and softly contrasting earthy tones.

A quietly textured oatmeal weave for relaxed upholstery, curtains and coordinated bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
