Bray Charcoal

Essential Colour III - Neutral FabricBF11187.985

Bray Charcoal reads as a deep, cool charcoal grey in the swatch, with softly clouded tonal variation across its surface. The restrained colour is given depth by fine, irregular striations rather than a defined motif.

About this fabric

This textile has a dark graphite tone with subtle lighter and deeper grey passages that create a gently weathered, tactile appearance. Fine horizontal and vertical irregularities are visible in the surface, keeping the plain colour from looking flat. It is composed of 45% Cotton, 40% Viscose and 15% Polyester, with a 137 cm (53.82") width. The fabric is specified for Curtains, Loose Upholstery, Fixed Upholstery and Bedspreads, and has a 50,000 Martindale rub test. Care instructions are Do Not Wash, professional dry cleaning only, Do Not Bleach and Do Not Iron.

How to use it

Use the cool charcoal tone to anchor pale timber, chalky walls and soft grey furnishings, or pair it with black metal for a sharper scheme. Its low-contrast mottling adds depth to a plain upholstered chair, headboard or full-length curtain without introducing a strong pattern.

A deep charcoal textile with a quietly mottled surface for tailored upholstery, curtains or bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
