Islabank Chevron Charcoal

Lochore Meadow Fabric

Islabank Chevron Charcoal has a deep charcoal ground with softly contrasting grey fibres running through its close, tactile weave. The surface reveals a restrained chevron movement rather than a bold, high-contrast pattern.

About this fabric

The dense-looking textile is built from charcoal, slate and occasional lighter grey threads, giving the colourway a cool, smoky depth. Its nubby surface catches the light unevenly, so the dark tone shifts gently across the swatch instead of appearing flat. Fine horizontal and angled movements within the weave create the understated chevron effect visible here. As a fabric SKU, it is particularly suited to upholstered pieces where this quiet texture can be seen at close range.

How to use it

Use this charcoal colourway on a contemporary sofa, armchair or dining seat, pairing it with pale timber, blackened metal and warm off-white textiles to soften its cool depth. It also works well as a grounding fabric in a tonal grey room with stronger texture elsewhere.

A deep charcoal upholstery textile whose subtle woven movement suits contemporary seating and darker, layered schemes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Islabank Chevron Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
