Clunie Burn Fabric

Clunie Burn Charcoal brings a deep, cool charcoal ground to a broad checked design, softened by taupe panels and restrained plum lines. Its close diagonal weave adds visible surface texture and depth.

About this fabric

The design is formed from large charcoal and near-black checks, with warm taupe blocks introducing contrast across the darker ground. Fine muted plum lines run through the pattern, adding a subdued violet note rather than a bright accent. A compact diagonal twill texture is clearly visible across the swatch, giving the plaid a tactile, woven character. The dark, composed colour balance makes this colourway particularly suited to structured upholstery where the check can read clearly.

How to use it

Use the charcoal ground on a sofa, armchair or dining seat, pairing it with warm grey, weathered timber and plum-toned cushions. Taupe upholstery details or surrounding textiles will pick up the lighter blocks without diluting the depth of the plaid.

A deep charcoal plaid with muted plum and taupe accents for tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
