About this fabric

The check is formed from broad intersecting bands, with fine red-terracotta lines adding definition through the quieter aqua, blue-grey, sage and sandy beige blocks. Close up, the small diagonal yarn texture softens the geometry and blends the colours rather than leaving them flat or sharply separated. The overall tone is cool and subdued, while the terracotta threads introduce a restrained warmth across the design. No performance features or further specification data are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this opal colourway to upholster a relaxed armchair, sofa or window seat alongside chalky walls, pale timber and aged leather. Pick out the muted sage or blue-grey from the checks for cushions and pair the terracotta lines with small, warm-toned accents.

A softly weathered plaid in cool opal tones, suited to relaxed upholstery and layered country interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
