Vintage Paisley Red
Portobello FabricBP10919.2
Vintage Paisley Red pairs a warm, faded terracotta paisley with a creamy linen ground. Its vertical arrangement of paisley columns and narrow scrolling borders gives the swatch a quietly tailored rhythm.

About this fabric
Woven in 100% linen, this 138 cm (54.21") wide fabric has a 14 cm (5.5") vertical pattern repeat and a 23 cm (9.04") horizontal repeat. The dusty red motifs have a softened, vintage character against the light natural ground, while the fine linen texture keeps the pattern from feeling overly bright or formal. Paisleys alternate with slim ornamental borders, creating defined vertical bands suited to curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Do not wash, bleach or iron; professional dry cleaning is required.
How to use it
Use the warm terracotta-red stripes on a curtain, occasional chair or upholstered headboard, balancing the pattern with the swatch’s creamy ground and natural linen texture. The faded red works especially well with aged timber, warm neutrals and restrained antique accents.
A softly faded paisley stripe that brings warm red pattern to curtains, upholstery and bedspreads.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Vintage Paisley Red without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
