About this fabric

Part of the Modena collection by J Brown, this plain fabric is woven in 100% polyester and specified for contract use, with an impressive 80,000 Martindale and a back coating to Cigarette & Match to BS5852. In the swatch, Parchment appears as a warm beige with muted taupe and soft gold undertones, broken by a subtle vertical striation and a delicate speckled texture. The finish has a light-reflective quality that gives the cloth a quiet sheen rather than a chalky matte look. It is also offered with professional dry clean in situ or washable at 40°C, subject to the pattern book’s further care instructions.

How to use it

Use this parchment-toned plain on tailored seating, banquettes or ottomans where you want a light neutral that still feels practical. It pairs especially well with dark timber, bronze details and mossy or chocolate accents, which help its warm sheen stand out.
