About this fabric

The lightly woven surface gives the pale ground a natural, subtly irregular texture, while the low-contrast palette keeps the floral drawing gentle rather than vivid. Large peony-like blooms and curling leaves create a generous 80 cm vertical repeat and 64 cm horizontal repeat. This fabric is composed of 67% linen and 33% rayon, with a 128 cm width, and is specified for curtains and bedspreads. It must not be washed, bleached or ironed, and requires professional dry cleaning.

How to use it

Use Rye Parchment for full-length curtains where its warm beige ground can soften a room, then repeat the muted taupe and grey-green flowers in a bedspread or understated upholstery accents. Its restrained contrast works especially well with natural wood and chalky painted finishes.

A softly traditional floral in warm parchment tones, suited to curtains and coordinated bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
