About this fabric

The close, even weave gives this colourway a softly tactile finish, while the warm ivory-beige tone remains light and understated. It is made from 42% viscose, 34% cotton, 20% linen and 4% polyester, combining the visible character of linen and cotton with a smooth woven appearance. At 142 cm wide (55.79 inches), it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 30,000 Martindale rub test supports its use across these applications; care requires professional dry cleaning, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use Darwen Parchment to keep a room light and quietly layered: it works as relaxed curtains or a bedspread, and brings a soft warm-neutral finish to upholstered seating. Pair it with natural timber, off-white walls and muted taupes to echo its gentle parchment tone.

A softly textured parchment beige for calm curtains, bedspreads and understated upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
