Portobello FabricBF10918.2

Berwick Red combines densely drawn brick-red flowers, leaves and curling stems with a warm beige ground. The woven surface gives the floral detail a softly tactile, slightly grainy finish.

About this fabric

This colourway is built around a muted, warm red that reads deeper in the larger flower heads and lighter across the finer botanical outlines. The scrolling floral arrangement is visibly dense, with varied blooms, seed heads and leaves creating a richly filled surface rather than an open sprig. It is 132 cm wide and has a 39 cm vertical pattern repeat with a 66 cm horizontal repeat, making it suitable for coordinated pattern placement across curtains and bedspreads. The composition is 50% viscose, 33% linen and 17% polyester; it must be professionally dry cleaned and should not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use Berwick Red at the window to bring warm, settled colour into a room with beige walls and natural wood, or make a bedspread from it for a more enveloping floral statement. Keep surrounding textiles restrained so the brick-red blooms remain the focus.

Use the warm brick-red floral ground for curtains or bedspreads, pairing it with quiet beige, timber and deeper red accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
