About this fabric

This Portobello fabric has a 50% viscose, 33% linen and 17% polyester composition, with a 132 cm width. Its detailed floral design repeats every 39 cm vertically and 66 cm horizontally, creating a continuous arrangement of blossoms, foliage and scrolling stems across the cloth. In this colourway, the blue-grey motifs read as muted and slightly cool against the softly warm beige ground, while the close-up reveals a fine, gently granular textile surface. It is specified for curtains and bedspreads and must be professionally dry cleaned; it should not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use Berwick Blue for full-length curtains where its cool blue-grey foliage can temper warm beige, cream or natural-toned interiors. It also suits a coordinated bedspread when the room benefits from a traditional floral pattern with restrained contrast rather than bright colour.

The cool blue-grey floral pattern brings a quietly formal, traditional note to curtains and coordinated bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
