Ashmore FabricBF10944.660

Ashmore Stripe Blue pairs cool, washed blue-grey bands with broad creamy stripes. The woven surface and softly irregular pale edging give the vertical design a gently tactile, relaxed character.

About this fabric

The colourway is distinctly cool and muted rather than bright, with blue-grey stripes set against warm ivory-cream bands. A fine, linen-like woven grain is visible across the cloth, while the narrow stripe edges have a softly uneven, linked appearance that keeps the regular layout from feeling stark. Made from 80% linen, 14% viscose, 2% acrylic and 4% cotton, the fabric is 140 cm (55") wide, with a 2.5 cm (.98") vertical pattern repeat and a 20 cm (7.86") horizontal pattern repeat. It is specified for curtains and bedspreads; care requires professional dry cleaning, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the blue-grey stripes at full length on curtains where their cool tone can sit against chalky whites, pale oak or soft grey upholstery. The cream bands also make the design easy to carry through to a relaxed bedspread without making the room feel overly nautical.

A cool, quietly textured stripe for curtains and bedspreads, with cream bands softening the blue-grey ground.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
