About this fabric

The sandy beige ground has a gently warm, muted tone rather than a cool cream, with flecks of taupe and brown visible between the threads. Its fine woven texture gives the surface quiet depth while remaining visually plain, making the colour the dominant feature. Composed of 46% cotton, 32% viscose, 18% linen and 4% polyester, the 140 cm wide fabric is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 30,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on upholstered furniture, while the care instructions require professional dry cleaning and prohibit washing, bleaching and ironing.

How to use it

Use Pentridge Sand to bring a warm, natural base to an upholstered chair, sofa or headboard, especially alongside chalky whites, aged timber and soft taupes. Its restrained weave also gives curtains or bedspreads texture without introducing a strong pattern.

A warm, finely textured neutral suited to relaxed upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
