About this fabric

The closely woven surface combines warm beige, taupe and pale oatmeal notes, with subtle vertical slubs and tonal shifts visible across the swatch. The texture catches the light softly, giving this quiet colourway more depth than a flat plain fabric without introducing a distinct motif. Made from 57% viscose, 18% polyester, 18% linen and 7% cotton, it is 140 cm (55") wide and rated to 20,000 Martindale rubs. Its listed uses include curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care requires professional dry cleaning, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use Monroe Parchment to bring a warm, softly textured backdrop to an upholstered armchair, sofa or headboard, or make relaxed full-length curtains where its pale beige tone can pick up natural light. Pair it with chalky whites, oatmeal linens and darker walnut or aged oak for a quietly layered scheme.

A warm, quietly textured neutral for relaxed upholstery, curtains and softly layered bedroom schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
