Braemar Fawn

Mulberry Wools IV FabricFD803.L13

Braemar Fawn combines a warm fawn ground with broad cream, taupe and blue-grey lines in a softly textured woven plaid. Its muted contrast gives the check a calm, tailored character rather than a high-impact country look.

About this fabric

Woven from 100% wool, this 150 cm-wide fabric has a 31 cm vertical repeat and a 25 cm horizontal repeat, creating clearly defined rectangular checks. The image shows layered fawn, oatmeal, cream and subdued blue-grey tones, with the wool weave adding gentle irregularity to the lines. A 20,000 Martindale rub test supports its use for both loose and fixed upholstery, while its structured check also translates neatly to curtains and bedspreads. After care is professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use the warm fawn base to upholster a traditional armchair, sofa or headboard, then pick up the blue-grey threads with cool stone walls or painted woodwork. As curtains, the broad check brings an ordered, softly rustic note without overwhelming a room.

A tailored wool check in warm fawn, softened with cream and blue-grey, for upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
