Flying Ducks Velvet Camel

Country Weekend VelvetFD258.L102

Flying Ducks Velvet Camel brings a warm camel background to a lively woodland scene of flying ducks, spreading branches and rounded, painterly trees. Muted olive greens, burgundy, cream and soft blue give the colourway a gently weathered country character.

About this fabric

The camel ground reads warm and softly understated, allowing the olive foliage, burgundy wings and pale blue-grey details to give the pattern depth without becoming bright or harsh. Made from 90% cotton and 10% polyester, this velvet is 135 cm wide and has a 64 cm vertical pattern repeat with a 135 cm horizontal repeat. Its 50,000 Martindale rub test makes it suitable for the listed fixed and loose upholstery uses, as well as curtains and bedspreads. Care is specified as professional dry cleaning only; it must not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Pair the warm camel base with natural timber, olive-painted cabinetry and deep burgundy or faded blue accents to draw out the colours in the flying-duck and tree pattern. It would bring particular character to an upholstered chair, headboard or relaxed country curtain scheme.

Use the warm camel ground to anchor rooms with olive, burgundy and soft blue accents.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Flying Ducks Velvet Camel without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
