About this fabric

Woven from 100% wool, this 150 cm wide fabric shows a pronounced plaid built from teal, blue-green and olive blocks, crossed by narrow cream and muted russet stripes. The close surface has a visible woolly texture and fine diagonal weave, while the varied line widths create depth without a bright or high-contrast effect. With a 31 cm vertical repeat and 25 cm horizontal repeat, the pattern is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. It has a 20,000 Martindale rub test; care requires professional dry cleaning, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use Braemar Teal on a reading chair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its cool green-blue ground can anchor warm wood and natural textures. It also makes coordinated curtains or a bedspread, with the cream and russet checks adding restrained contrast.

A softly muted teal plaid with moss, cream and russet lines, suited to relaxed upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
