Chester Stripe Teal

Festival FabricFD760.R11

Chester Stripe Teal combines a deep, cool teal ground with slim vertical stripes picked out in warm grey-beige herringbone. The closely spaced pattern has a tactile woven character, with the teal appearing darker and richer in the recessed areas of the weave.

About this fabric

Woven from 70% cotton and 30% jute, this 132cm-wide fabric has a 12cm horizontal pattern repeat and a structured vertical stripe layout. Narrow chevron-like lines contrast against the dark teal ground, giving the design more depth than a plain stripe while retaining a clean, directional look. Its supplied usage includes curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Care instructions are Do Not Wash, professional dry cleaning only, Do Not Bleach and Do Not Iron.

How to use it

Use the cool, deep teal as an anchoring colour on an occasional chair, headboard or sofa, where the beige herringbone stripes can read as a subtle tailored accent. The vertical direction also lends itself to curtains that emphasise height without introducing a loud contrast.

A deep teal woven stripe with fine beige herringbone detail, equally suited to tailored upholstery and full-length curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Chester Stripe Teal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
