Babington Check Teal/Spice is a finely woven small-scale check in which cool teal intersects with warm spice, softened by beige and cream threads. The close grid gives the swatch a composed, gently textured appearance rather than a bold graphic effect.

About this fabric

The visible check combines muted blue-green teal, rust-spice and light neutral threads, creating a colourway with both cool depth and warm lift. Its fine woven texture and compact 5 cm vertical by 3.5 cm horizontal repeat keep the pattern detailed at close range while reading as a subtle surface from farther away. Made from 40% viscose, 33% cotton and 27% linen, the 140 cm wide fabric is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 45,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on frequently handled upholstered pieces; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Pair the muted teal and spice tones with warm timber, aged brass and cream upholstery for a collected, tailored room. The small check is well suited to an upholstered chair, window treatment or bedspread where its restrained colour contrast can be seen without dominating the scheme.
