Morning Gallop Velvet Teal

Icons Fabrics VelvetFD295.R11

Morning Gallop Velvet Teal presents a dark, green-leaning teal ground scattered with painterly hunting scenes, mounted riders, hounds and layered foliage. Ochre, tan, rust and muted blue accents catch across the surface, giving the colourway considerable depth.

About this fabric

This Mulberry Home velvet is made from 88% cotton and 12% polyester, with a 134 cm width and a substantial 50,000 Martindale rub rating. The scenic design repeats every 49 cm vertically and 67 cm horizontally, with riders and horses moving through broad, horizontal landscape bands. Its deep teal-green background reads cool and moody, while the warm ochre and chestnut figures provide contrast without overpowering the ground colour. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; professional dry cleaning is required, and it must not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use the deep teal ground on a statement armchair, ottoman or headboard, pairing it with warm tan leather, aged wood and ochre accents to draw out the equestrian scene. As curtains, its dark tone will create a dramatic, enveloping backdrop.

Use this richly illustrated teal velvet to bring depth and an equestrian character to upholstery, curtains or bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
