Dress Circle Velvet Teal

Festival VelvetFD299.R11

Deep teal squares give Dress Circle a cool, inked depth, while the circles bring flashes of rust, orange, pale blue and cream across the face. The tactile surface visible in the swatch softens the precision of the geometric layout.

About this fabric

Teal is the dominant note here, shifting from deep blue-green squares to lighter, greyed teal panels as the surface catches the light. Concentric circular motifs sit in a regular checked layout, with rust, orange, pale blue, cream and charcoal rings adding measured contrast. Made from 55% viscose and 45% cotton, this 137 cm-wide velvet has a 67 cm vertical and 69 cm horizontal pattern repeat. With a 50,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use this cool, deep teal colourway on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered bed, where its blue-green depth can anchor a room. Pick up the rust and orange rings with warm timber or carefully chosen cushions for contrast against the cooler ground.

A cool, graphic teal velvet with rust and orange accents for statement upholstery, curtains or bedspreads.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Dress Circle Velvet Teal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
