Nevis Granite

Festival FabricFD748.A16

Nevis Granite brings together charcoal-grey, taupe, warm brown and muted ochre in a softly softened checked weave. Its layered tones give the plaid a quietly weathered depth rather than a stark graphic contrast.

About this fabric

Woven from 100% wool, this substantial plaid has a softly textured surface that diffuses the dark checks and lets the warmer brown and ochre threads show through. The fabric is 150 cm (58.93 inches) wide, with a vertical pattern repeat of 28 cm (11 inches) and a horizontal repeat of 25 cm (9.82 inches). Its 35,000 Martindale rub test supports use for fixed upholstery, loose upholstery, curtains and bedspreads. For care, it must not be washed, bleached or ironed and should be professionally dry cleaned.

How to use it

Use the cool charcoal ground to anchor a sofa, headboard or dining chair, then pick up the muted ochre and taupe lines with warm timber, aged leather or brushed metal. As curtains, the medium-scale check brings structure without making the room feel overly formal.

A grounded charcoal plaid with taupe, ochre and warm cream accents for tailored upholstery or substantial curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
