Nevis Russet/Mauve is a richly layered wool plaid combining russet red, muted mauve, warm taupe and charcoal lines. Its softly brushed surface gives the checks a gently blurred, tactile appearance rather than a hard graphic edge.

About this fabric

Woven from 100% wool, this 150 cm wide fabric has a medium-scale plaid with a 28 cm vertical repeat and 25 cm horizontal repeat. Russet and burgundy-red bands provide warmth, while mauve, taupe and deep charcoal crossings add smoky depth across the checked ground. The visible wool texture softens the contrast between the intersecting stripes, giving the pattern a relaxed, substantial character. With a 35,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; professional dry cleaning is required, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the russet and mauve tones to warm a reading chair, ottoman or upholstered headboard, then echo the taupe checks with neutral walls and timber. As curtains or a bedspread, the plaid brings a softly rustic depth without losing its muted, collected feel.
