Nevis Red/Green is a softly blended plaid woven in muted brick red, forest green, brown and cream. The close-set checks give the surface a layered, gently weathered appearance rather than a stark contrast.

About this fabric

Woven from 100% wool, this 150 cm (58.93 in) fabric combines deep red and green bands with brown and cream lines to create a warm, timeworn tartan effect. The 28 cm (11 in) vertical repeat and 25 cm (9.82 in) horizontal repeat give the plaid a defined but comfortably medium-scale presence. A 35,000 Martindale rub test makes it suitable for fixed and loose upholstery as well as curtains and bedspreads. Professional dry cleaning is required; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use the softened red and forest green tones on a reading chair, ottoman or relaxed headboard, pairing them with warm timber, aged leather and creamy neutral walls. As curtains or a bedspread, the plaid adds depth without the sharpness of a brighter red.

The muted red and green plaid brings warm, country-inspired character to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.
