About this fabric

The 100% wool weave has a softly matte appearance, with the subtle surface variation of the yarn adding depth to the green ground while the narrow brown lines define the grid. The check has a 7.5 cm vertical repeat and a 7 cm horizontal repeat, creating a measured pattern that remains composed across larger pieces. At 147 cm wide, it is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The 35,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on hard-working upholstered furniture; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use Bute Forest to bring a cool, woodland-green depth to a reading chair, sofa or upholstered headboard, balancing its russet lines with warm timber and calm neutral walls. It also makes tailored curtains or a bedspread with a traditional, country-house feel.
