About this fabric

The medium-scale check is formed from slender cream-grey lines, creating a restrained windowpane pattern over the deep rusted amber ground. Made from 100% wool and supplied at 147 cm wide, the fabric has a substantial woven presence that suits both soft furnishings and upholstery. Its 7.5 cm vertical and 7 cm horizontal pattern repeats keep the grid defined without becoming visually dominant. A 35,000 Martindale rub test supports its specified use for loose and fixed upholstery, while it is also suitable for curtains and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use Bute Amber on a tailored armchair or headboard where its burnt, earthy warmth can anchor quieter neutrals. The fine pale check also gives curtains a smart country-house character without introducing a strong contrast.
