Lindisfarne Plaid Russet is a densely woven check in layered russet, brick red and muted olive, crossed by fine cream and grey lines. The warm red-brown ground gives the swatch a softly weathered, earthy depth rather than a bright tartan effect.

About this fabric

Made from 100% wool and supplied at 150 cm wide, this substantial woven plaid has a clear checked structure with a 28 cm vertical repeat and 25 cm horizontal repeat. Its russet ground is overlaid with brick-red bands, smoky olive-grey threads and narrow pale lines, creating gentle tonal variation across the surface. The fabric is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, while its 63,000 Wyzenbeek Cotton Duck rub test supports use on hard-working upholstered pieces. After care is professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use the warm russet-red tone to bring depth to a reading chair, window seat or sofa, pairing it with aged timber, tan leather and muted olive accents. As curtains or a bedspread, the medium-scale check adds pattern without losing the grounded, autumnal feel of the room.
