About this fabric

Made from 100% wool, this 150 cm wide fabric combines broad russet and brown checks with narrower aqua, cream and charcoal overchecks. The plaid has a softly brushed, matte-looking surface in the image, while the cool aqua threads add definition without making the colourway feel bright. With a 28 cm vertical repeat and 25 cm horizontal repeat, the pattern has a balanced medium-scale rhythm. A rub test of 63,000 Wyzenbeek Cotton Duck supports its use for fixed upholstery, loose upholstery, curtains and bedspreads; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the russet ground to warm a reading chair, sofa or upholstered headboard, then pick up the aqua lines with faded blue cushions or painted joinery. As curtains or a bedspread, it brings a softly rustic, layered note while the charcoal checks prevent the palette from feeling overly sweet.

A warm russet wool plaid lifted with cool aqua lines, suited to relaxed upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
